Losing weight is a big deal. Spoil yourself with something not so plain.
I bought three books to cover 1 year. That's a year for me to lose 45 lbs. Two were only 3 months worth of pages, while the third book (this book) was good for 6 months. After looking at the three. The first book and the middle one gave you no way to track your overall success. There were just the same page over and over and only about 100 sheets. The third book, (this book) not only covered 6 months… but also gave you two ways to track your progress, stickers, pocket, ribbon, pen holder, and a place to add photos. The books cost $5.69, $8.49, and $9.99. This book cost less for one year @ $9.99 (x2) than the other two books. Spoil yourself with something not so plain. Losing weight is a big deal.

    Great book! Easy to track your Macros and keep yourself honest and accountable what goes on your mouth! Easy to use, has an elastic band to hold it shut and a pen holder to keep it handy. There are lots of areas to note measurements and misc plus a monthly calendar that I note how I'm feeling daily. Space in the back for common foods and "doodle" pages. Also monthly reviews for goals, wins and improvements for the next month along with a space at the end of the month for a photo and measurements. It also came with a packet of stickers which I haven't used…..yet! Great value for the $$ and I will 100% purchase another after this one is full!! Oh, I got the blue, it's lovely!!

    The size is great, not too bulky while still fitting a lot on the page. I think the cover would hold up pretty well, as it’s fairly thick, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the color chips over time.
    As for functionality, it starts with a typical goals page for these types of journals where you can record weight and other measurements. Then it’s in monthly sections that start with a calendar (nice for meal planning or I suppose you could put workouts there). Then it goes into the daily food logs. All of this is undated, so it’s easy to start at any time, or if you’re like me and you tend to get off track after a few months, you can just pick up where you left off.
    There are 31 days for each monthly sections, then there’s a monthly progress/results tracker at the end of each month. At the very end of the book there is a page for logging measurements over time, and a couple pages for logging the macros of your favorite products, then probably 15 blank pages for notes or anything else.     Three months ago, I started on a weight loss medication. I was tracking everything – literally everything on my phone, but I kept falling down that proverbial “online Rabbit Hole” with distractions, each time I tried to record my food intake. I came across this old-school, analog Journal that has changed quite a few of my habits.
    First: I have something tangible, almost like picking up an apple, which I have to pick up and add to my food and water intake. I can flip a page to see what I ate yesterday or last week, rather than having to scroll through an App.
    Second: This food journal helps me set big goals and break them into mini-milestones. I can write down daily, weekly, or even, if I’m having an especially challenging day, an hourly goal. Often, achievements are as simple as “Drink more water” or “Play with the dog.” “Walk around the house.” Are just enough for the day, and this analog system works for me.
    Third: The hardcover journal is a convenient 5.8" x 8.3" size and includes three sheets of colorful motivational stickers, three bookmarks, and a penholder. AND IT'S PURPLE!
    Finally, there are areas for additional notations on exercise, sleep time, water, weigh-ins, body fat percentages, and general activity. The monthly health check-in also helps me understand how everything is impacting my overall well-being.
    I don’t have all the answers, and I’m not advocating any particular path or diet plan. I do know that, for me, if I don’t physically WRITE IT DOWN, THEN IT NEVER HAPPENED. That’s just me. And only me.
